They Are Probably Going To Ban Me From The State

I could seriously give one of those creepy-monkey-circus-cymbal-toys a run for it’s money on the “clapping hands like a lunatic” scale of EXCITED!

In 9 days I leave for The Rocky Mountain Folk Festival to go seriously fan-girl over Shane Koyczan.
I am totally obsessed.
I mean this is bigger than postcards of Patrick Stewart on the mirror in my bathroom so he could see me naked when I got of the shower, obsessed. Stop judging me. It was 20 years ago. This is how things roll in Leah Land.

This man is my spirit animal, my patronus, my muse, my Oracle of Delphi, my Yoda, my Reepicheep…look, he’s just really fucking cool and his art really resonates with me and his talent astounds me and I’m just really, really, really appreciative of his courage to be authentic and share his words with the world…Mmm’kay?

I mean, here is this man, who by social definition, does not meet the expectations of male beauty…he shatters it. He allows his light to shine so fucking brightly that you are drawn in, captivated, educated, spell-bound and always changed – transformed into something better than you were before. This guy who could be you or me or anyone you’d pass on the street and not think twice about, has fiercely said, “Fuck it! To hell with anyone thinks, I got shit to say.” And he does. Well.

And it’s damn, sexy.
Just sayin’.

…..ARGH!!!! I can’t find the right fucking words. DO YOU KNOW HOW FRUSTRATING THAT IS???!!!! I have tried for weeks to properly compose a few sentences that can capture how I feel and each time I come up with shit. The words are not big enough. The feelings are not strong enough. It’s just not enough.
The only thing that comes to mind that even comes close is Killing Me Softly…but not exactly.

I think if I ever did get to meet him the best I would probably be able to muster is a “Thank You” choked out from a tight throat and eyes welled up with tears.
